Options can be combined: e.g. 'tmem cat' will reset compiled styles, table cache and attribute cache. Use 'tmem *' to reset everything; it shouldn't usually be needed but it could be useful to reclaim as much memory as possible, especially if more cache items are added later. |
Resetting compiled styles is useful if something changes which would affect the compiled result. At the time of writing this, the main thing would be when using the Speed option of the tdpref dialogue (Document Preferences/Document/Speed) to "Compile x-counter and string indices" (see item above). Whenever index variables are added or changed then you should use 'tmem c' to cause any compiled styles to be recompiled with new values. |
